The Pukllay Carnival is a festival of colors in the southern Andean city of Andahuaylas in the Apurímac Region.

Pukllay is a Quechua word for "game" and represents a festivity of gratitude towards nature

 

It gets ready to receive dozens of delegations from various regions, which will show their traditions through music and dances that characterize the cultural wealth of Peru.

 

It can be noticed in the streets of the city with the costumes of the participants who come from all parts of Peru and the brother countries.
